Position Summary
This position is responsible for leading the logistics of internationally & locally procured items and central store operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and timely delivery to the end-user.
Job Responsibilities
- Leads the logistics of purchased items, including internationally procured items and specialized materials such as live animals, chemicals, radioactive substances, cadavers, etc.
- Develops a schedule and plan for delivering goods to the end-user, working closely with the team.
- Collaborates with logistics agencies, evaluates the quotes received and recommends cost-saving opportunities to deliver an optimal logistics solution.
- Liaises with government agencies, QF and relevant local authorities to coordinate the import/export processes, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Manages local transportation of goods upon arrival in Qatar.
- Reviews and evaluates the performance of shipping agencies and third-party logistics providers, offering feedback and improvement recommendations.
- Conducts spend analytics for logistics related activities, including fixed priced agreements.
- Handles the complete supply chain of guided buying and direct purchases logistics, made by end-users, ensuring alignment with approved policies and procedures.
- Conducts spent analytics related to such purchases and present to senior manager.
- Leads materials management and central store operations at WCM-Q.
- Manages procurement and contracts-related documentation in a structured, auditable system.
- Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on logistics system requirements and provides training on financial enterprise systems as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field with 5 - 6 years of related experience.
- Qualifications such as CPP and CISP or similar are desirable.
