The Offshore Shutdown Project Manager is
responsible for planning, executing, and delivering offshore
shutdown/turnaround projects safely, on time, and within budget. Key duties
include:
1. Project Planning & Execution:
o Lead pre-shutdown planning, scope definition,
and risk assessments.
o Develop schedules, budgets, and resource
allocation plans.
o Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and
operations teams.
2. HSE & Compliance:
o Ensure strict adherence to HSE standards
(Qatar regulations, company policies, and international standards like ISO
45001).
o Conduct safety audits and incident
investigations.
3. Stakeholder Management:
o Liaise with clients (e.g., QP, QG, Shell,
TotalEnergies) and subcontractors.
o Provide regular progress reports to senior
management.
4. Cost & Quality Control:
o Monitor project expenditures and mitigate cost
overruns.
o Ensure work meets technical specifications and
quality standards.
5. Shutdown Delivery:
o Oversee critical path activities,
troubleshooting delays.
o Manage post-shutdown reviews and
lessons-learned sessions.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
· Education: Bachelor’s in Engineering (Mechanical,
Chemical, or related).
· Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent (preferred).
· Experience: 10+ years in oil/gas shutdowns, with 5+
years in offshore projects.
· Skills: Primavera P6, SAP, risk management,
contract negotiation.
