The Rides and Arcade Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all rides and arcade machines within the park. The role ensures all equipment is operational, safe, and handed over to the Operations team in a timely manner, contributing to a safe and enjoyable guest experience.
- Perform daily pre-opening inspections, startup, and shutdown procedures for all rides and arcade machines.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of rides and arcade equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is safe, clean, and operational, and report any unsafe conditions immediately.
- Handover rides and arcade machines to the Operations team on time and in optimal working condition.
Troubleshooting & Repairs
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and service calls from Park Operations.
- Diagnose and resolve faults on arcade machines and rides efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Maintain detailed records of recurring faults and suggest long-term solutions or system improvements.
- Conduct payout and performance adjustments for arcade machines as required.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and internal SOPs during maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure all work complies with local safety regulations and industry standards.
- Participate in regular safety audits, inspections, and training sessions.
Reporting & Communication
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and fault reports.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, operations staff, and vendors regarding equipment status and improvement needs.
- Recommend necessary spare parts, tools, or upgrades to ensure operational reliability.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Technical diploma or certification in Electromechanics, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in amusement ride or arcade machine maintenance preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and reading technical manuals and schematics.
