Job responsibilities:
- Ensure all work in the area is conducted under valid and approved permits (Hot Work, Cold Work, Confined Space, etc.).
- Verify that job-specific risk assessments (JSA, HAZID, HAZOP) are completed and understood by workers.
- Monitor and control the activation and closure of permits.
- Maintain a log of all active permits in the area.
- Conduct routine inspections of the worksite to ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
- Ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety devices.
- Intervene in unsafe practices and report safety violations or incidents.
- Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of permits issued, work completed, and safety inspections.
- Report near misses, incidents, and non-conformances.
- Ensure documentation complies with internal procedures and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of oil and gas operations (upstream/downstream depending on location).
- Familiarity with PTW systems and Control of Work procedures.
- Understanding of HSE standards and practices. NEBOSH Certified.
- 4-5 years of experience. 2 years of experience with oil and gas project.
