The Data Migration Specialist will be responsible for migrating data from legacy systems to SAP or between SAP and Microsoft tools such as SharePoint, Power Apps, and Power BI. This role requires a strong background in data migration methodologies, SQL, SAP Data Services, and the ability to ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the migration process.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, design, and execute data migration activities from legacy systems to SAP ERP or between SAP and Microsoft platforms (SharePoint, Power Apps, Power BI).
Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to understand data requirements and ensure smooth migration processes.
Develop and optimize SQL queries and scripts to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data accurately.
Utilize SAP Data Services and related tools to manage and automate data migration workflows.
Validate and reconcile migrated data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and integrity.
Troubleshoot data migration issues and implement solutions to mitigate risks and prevent data loss.
Maintain documentation for data migration processes, mappings, and configurations.
Stay updated with SAP and Microsoft certifications, best practices, and industry trends.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in data migration projects.
Strong proficiency in SQL and SAP Data Services.
Proven experience migrating data between legacy systems and SAP or between SAP and Microsoft platforms.
Certifications:
- SAP Certified Technology Associate – Data Migration.
- Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate.
