Job Description
The Legal Associate will provide legal support across business units, handling contract drafting and review, legal research, and compliance monitoring. The role supports dispute resolution, corporate governance, and the preparation of legal documentation to enable informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research and provide clear, actionable analysis
- Draft, review, and assist in negotiating contracts, agreements, and memoranda
- Support implementation and maintenance of compliance programs and policies
- Assist with dispute resolution, including preparing litigation/arbitration documentation and liaising with external counsel
- Maintain corporate records, board minutes, and governance documentation
- Prepare legal correspondence, reports, and manage legal filing systems
Skills
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent legal research, analytical thinking, and drafting abilities
- proven negotiation and document-review skills
- Proficient in Microsoft office and legal research databases/tools
- High attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution
- LLM or equivalent legal qualifications is an advantage
- 2-5 years of experience in a legal role, preferably within a corporate governance
- Fluency in English required; Arabic is an advantage
- Based in Qatar
