Job Summary:
The Civil Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and plans for civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, buildings, and construction layouts. Works closely with engineers and site teams to convert designs into accurate CAD drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare 2D/3D civil drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
- Create site layout plans, sections, elevations, and detail drawings.
- Interpret civil and structural design sketches.
- Revise drawings based on engineer’s feedback.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and local regulations.
- Maintain drawing logs and document control.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and site supervisors.
- Assist in quantity take-offs and basic BOQ preparations.
- Visit project sites when needed for measurements or clarification.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Certificate in Civil Drafting or related field.
- Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit or Civil 3D is a plus.
- 2–5 years of experience in a similar role.
