Berkeley is seeking a qualified and experienced Massage Therapy Trainer to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a passionate professional to lead and deliver hands-on training in massage techniques and wellness practices.
Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction on various massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, and other therapeutic modalities.
- Supervise students during their practical training sessions, ensuring they apply techniques safely and effectively.
- Deliver up-to-date curriculum that aligns with current industry standards, focusing on anatomy, physiology, and client care.
- Evaluate student performance through practical assessments, written exams, and client-based simulations; provide feedback to support their growth and skill development.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and safe learning environment that encourages hands-on learning and student engagement.
- Offer guidance on professional practice, client interaction, and career development within the massage therapy industry.
- Ensure that the program complies with all relevant health and safety regulations and accreditation standards.
Qualifications:
- A certified Massage Therapist with at least 5 years of extensive experience in the field and proficiency in a variety of therapeutic massage techniques
- Previous experience as a Massage Therapy instructor or trainer is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to demonstrate and explain techniques clearly.
- A deep understanding of anatomy and physiology, with the ability to teach these concepts to students.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage both classroom theory and hands-on practice sessions.
