Job Title: Sushi ChefJob Criteria / Requirements:1. Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a sushi chef or in a Japanese kitchen.
- Expertise in preparing various types of sushi including maki, nigiri, sashimi, and specialty rolls.
- Knife skills and precision cutting for fish and vegetables.
- Understanding of sushi rice preparation, seasoning, and storage.
- Ability to manage raw fish inventory and uphold strict food safety standards.
2. Culinary Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, ingredients, and traditional techniques.
- Understanding of flavor profiles, presentation, and plating techniques.
3. Hygiene & Safety:
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
4. Creativity & Presentation:
- Ability to develop new sushi rolls or seasonal items.
- Emphasis on aesthetic presentation and consistency.
5. Work Ethic & Personality:
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
