Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the performance, maintenance, and upgrades of utility systems including boilers, chillers, air compressors, HVAC, RO/DI water systems, and emergency power systems.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
- Support energy conservation projects and initiatives to reduce utility costs and improve efficiency.
- Develop preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for utility systems.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including production, EHS, and maintenance to support plant operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to utilities infrastructure and provide technical support during shutdowns or emergencies.
- Maintain detailed documentation of systems, maintenance records, and standard operating procedures.
- Support capital projects involving utility systems, including design, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in utilities or facilities engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of utility systems and energy management practices.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant certifications (CEM, LEED AP) is a plus.
