Qatar Center for Quantum Computing (QC2) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) seeks applications for the research scientist position in Quantum Communication. Our research areas include, but are not limited to: QRNG, QKD, Quantum Networking, Satellite-based Quantum Communication, Distributed Quantum Computing, and Blind Quantum Computing.
Successful candidates will work in a vibrant environment and collaborate with other scientists, postdocs, researchers and students within QC2 and with external collaborators including industry partners. The candidate will participate in theoretical and/or experimental research and be based in a world-class facility within HBKU. The candidate will also have the opportunity to supervise students and apply for funding programs.
Qualifications
Candidates are expected to have a PhD in a related area and at least 8 years of postdoctoral research experience in relevant disciplines. The candidate is also expected to have an excellent research track record and to have published in reputable venues.
Duration
Initially, the position is for 12 months, then based on satisfactory performance, the contract can be renewed for several years, up to 3 years with possible extension.
