Al Faisal Law Firm is seeking an exceptional Senior Bilingual Legal Consultant for an immediate, full-time contract role. This is a unique opportunity to be embedded as dedicated in-house counsel for a prestigious Doha-based organization.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the legal aspects of the organization's international agreements, particularly with academic partners in the U.S. and Europe. You will be instrumental in safeguarding the organization's interests and ensuring all contracts are compliant and enforceable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing contracts, MoUs, and partnership agreements.
- Providing expert legal counsel on risk exposure, mitigation strategies, and compliance.
- Ensuring contracts strictly adhere to Qatari laws, licensing requirements, and international legal frameworks.
- Advising on legal matters related to procurement, IP, HR, and institutional collaborations.
- Supporting arbitration, dispute resolution, and the handling of any legal breaches.
- Translating and interpreting legal documents between Arabic and English.
- Attending meetings that may fall outside of normal working hours to accommodate international time zones.
Mandatory Qualifications & Skills:
Candidates who do not meet these core requirements will not be considered.
- Mandatory: Full professional fluency in both Arabic and English (spoken and written).
- A law degree from an accredited university.
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience working on contracts, including drafting, negotiating, and managing legal agreements.
- Deep understanding of Qatari legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven familiarity with U.S. and European contract law, preferably within the context of academic partnership models.
- Membership in a recognized legal body.
- Strong attention to detail, ethical judgment, and a high degree of professionalism and discretion.
Engagement & Contract Details:
- Engagement: This is a full-time, ongoing engagement dedicated solely to the client organization.

- Contract Duration: The initial contract will be for a period of 6 months or 1 year, with the potential for extension.

- Working Hours: Core hours are 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Sunday to Thursday. However, flexibility is essential to manage engagements with international partners.
