Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Officer to manage purchasing activities across our F&B operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring perishable and non-perishable goods, while ensuring the best balance of quality, cost, and timely delivery. This role is key to maintaining smooth kitchen, production, and outlet operations by ensuring consistent availability of essential items.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers of food ingredients, beverages, packaging, kitchen equipment, and services.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders based on operational needs and stock levels.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to central kitchen, outlets, or production sites.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and kitchen teams for forecasted demand.
- Verify supplier compliance with quality standards, food safety certifications, and hygiene requirements.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and maintain an updated vendor database.
- Track and report key procurement metrics such as cost savings, delivery accuracy, and supplier performance.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely invoice matching and payment processing.
- Stay updated on market trends, new suppliers, and price movements in the F&B sector.
- Support internal audits and documentation for traceability, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
- Knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, or other food safety standards preferred.
Experience:
- 5-6 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or sourcing—preferably in the food service, catering, or hospitality sector.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Zoho) and procurement software.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation and cost analysis skills.
- Excellent communication and supplier relationship management.
- Good knowledge of F&B product specifications, shelf-life, and quality control requirements.
- Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and handle last-minute sourcing requests.
