We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced End-to-End Network Optimization Engineer with a strong focus on radio network optimization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the continuous monitoring, analysis, and optimization of our 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks, ensuring superior network performance, capacity, and subscriber experience. This role requires hands-on expertise with both Huawei and Nokia equipment and a deep understanding of cellular network protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Radio Network Optimization: Lead end-to-end radio network optimization activities for 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies, including KPI monitoring, troubleshooting, and parameter tuning to enhance network performance (e.g., coverage, capacity, accessibility, retainability, throughput).
- Performance Monitoring & Analysis: Proactively monitor network performance metrics and identify bottlenecks, anomalies, and areas for improvement across the entire network infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis: Conduct in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex network issues, leveraging various tools (active probes, passive probes, PM Counters) and methodologies.
- Vendor Equipment Expertise: Possess hands-on experience in the optimization and configuration of radio access network (RAN) equipment from both Huawei and Nokia.
- 3GPP Protocol Analysis: Demonstrate a strong understanding of 3GPP protocols and standards (e.g., GSM, UMTS, LTE, 5G NR) and be proficient in analyzing network traces to diagnose protocol-related issues.
- PCAP Analysis: Utilize PCAP analysis tools and techniques to effectively capture, analyze, and interpret network packet data for performance troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- VoLTE Optimization: Specialize in the optimization of VoLTE services to ensure high-quality voice calls and seamless user experience.
- Data Analysis and Visualization: Employ advanced data analysis techniques and tools to interpret large datasets, identify trends, and generate actionable insights for network optimization. Create clear and concise reports and visualizations to communicate network performance and optimization progress to stakeholders.
- Network Enhancements: Recommend and implement network design changes, feature activations, and parameter adjustments to improve network efficiency and user satisfaction.
- Drive Test Analysis: Analyze drive test data to assess network coverage, interference, and performance, and provide recommendations for optimization actions.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including planning, operations, and field teams, to ensure seamless network integration and issue resolution.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, optimization activities, and performance reports.
- Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in telecommunications technologies, particularly in radio access networks and 5G.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of demonstrable experience in end-to-end network optimization, with a mandatory focus on radio network optimization.
- Proven hands-on experience with Huawei and Nokia RAN equipment and associated optimization tools is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G network architectures, protocols, and performance KPIs.
- Strong expertise in VoLTE optimization.
- Proficiency in PCAP analysis and other network troubleshooting tools.
- Solid understanding of 3GPP protocol analysis and signaling flows.
- Excellent Data Analysis and visualization skills, with experience using relevant tools (e.g., Excel, Python, Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Bonus Skills:
- Hands-on experience in 5G SA (Standalone) optimization.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation and data analysis.
