Job Brief
The Multiskilled Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of technical maintenance and repair tasks across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems within facilities. The role ensures all equipment and systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is versatile, proactive, and able to respond quickly to service requests, contributing to the overall smooth operation of the facility.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in building systems, including lighting, water systems, and equipment malfunctions.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts usage.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and Qatar regulatory standards.
- Assist in facility renovation, installation, or refurbishment projects as required.
- Coordinate with other technicians, contractors, and vendors to complete tasks efficiently.
- Recommend improvements to equipment, processes, and facility operations to enhance performance.
- Support energy-saving initiatives and sustainability practices within the facility.
Job Requirements
- Diploma, vocational certificate, or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, or related technical fields.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in facility maintenance or a similar multi-skilled role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proficiency in using maintenance tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of safety standards and occupational health regulations in Qatar.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or on-call when required.
- Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
