Job Brief:
We are looking for a skilled HVAC Technician to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to provide excellent customer service.
Job Responsibilities:
- Installation: Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, ductwork, and thermostats.
- Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation and prevent breakdowns.
- Repairs: Diagnose and repair HVAC system issues, replacing defective parts and components as needed.
- Troubleshooting: Identify system malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
- System Upgrades: Recommend and implement upgrades to improve system efficiency and performance.
- Compliance: Ensure all installations and repairs comply with local building codes and safety standards.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers to provide information on system operations, maintenance, and repair options.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
- Emergency Services: Respond to emergency service calls outside of regular working hours as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as an HVAC Technician with a solid understanding of HVAC systems and components.
- Certification: Valid HVAC technician certification; EPA certification for handling refrigerants is required.
- Skills: Proficient in reading blueprints and technical manuals; strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment, standing for extended periods, and working in confined spaces.
- CAFM Experience: Experience with Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) systems is required.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Safety: Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is a plus.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
- Tools: Should be familiar about basic HVAC tools and their use.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized HVAC training program or apprenticeship is preferred.
