Job Summary:
An HVAC Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, testing, and supervising the installation and maintenance of HVAC systems. These systems regulate temperature, humidity, and air quality to provide a comfortable and safe environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design HVAC systems based on building requirements, codes, and energy efficiency standards.
- Perform load calculations to determine heating and cooling needs.
- Select appropriate HVAC equipment (chillers, boilers, air handlers, ductwork, etc.).
- Prepare technical drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD/BIM software.
- Oversee installation of HVAC systems at project sites.
- Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and electrical engineers.
- Ensure compliance with mechanical codes and safety regulations.
- Test and commission HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Balance airflow and troubleshoot system issues during startup.
- Diagnose and fix HVAC system issues.
- Schedule and oversee regular maintenance.
- Upgrade or retrofit systems for efficiency improvements.
- Maintain detailed records of system specifications, inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Prepare technical reports and compliance documentation.
Requirements:
- 5 to 8 years of experience(4 Years GCC Experience Mandatory)
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other Applications such as Revit (BIM), HAP Software, and other equivalent applications.
- Very good knowledge of Software selection for AHU, FCU, and Fans.
- Deal with other departments to resolve questions and technical issues.
