HSE Engineer
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor, control and report on HSE operations and performance, ensuring that HSE management plans are adhered to and implemented effectively.
- Lead the development, implementation and management of HSE policies, procedures and programs in accordance with local and international standards and regulations
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, ensuring proper reporting, corrective actions, and preventive measures are implemented.
- Advanced leadership skills to motivate and organize project HSE and contractor HSE teams to achieve high performance standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and assessments to identify potential risks and hazards; develop corrective action plans to address findings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and sustainability goals.
- Control of all HSE activities of the site to ensure that site operations are carried out in control and in accordance with HSE requirements.
- Regulating and Monitoring Contractors with the Procedures on the day-to-day activities in Field from the Project Start to Closeout.
- Active participation and report preparation in PSSR, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, occupational health and safety, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of GCC experience in HSE, specifically within the Oil & Gas industry.
- NEBOSH certification is required, certifications such as IOSH or similar HSE-related qualifications are a plus.
- Good knowledge of local and international HSE regulations/standards, HSE Management System, ISO/OHSAS, etc
- Proven ability to independently manage and execute HSE-related activities.
- Experience in developing and conducting HSE training and awareness programs.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
