We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Barista to lead our coffee shop and elevate the customer experience. This role combines expert barista skills with shop management responsibilities. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality coffee preparation, overseeing daily operations, leading and training the barista team, and introducing new ideas to enhance efficiency, product offerings, and customer satisfaction. You will play a crucial role in driving the shop’s growth and creating a positive, welcoming environment for both customers and staff.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Lead and manage the team:** Supervise, train, and mentor the barista team, ensuring they maintain high standards of coffee preparation and customer service.
- **Oversee daily operations:** Manage inventory, ordering, scheduling, and ensuring the shop runs smoothly throughout the day.
- **Customer service:** Ensure an excellent customer experience by fostering a welcoming and friendly atmosphere and responding to any customer concerns or feedback.
- **Innovate and improve:** Bring fresh ideas to improve the shop’s offerings, whether it's through new coffee recipes, seasonal specials, or creative promotions. Focus on increasing operational efficiency.
- **Quality control:** Maintain the highest standards of product quality and consistency, including coffee preparation, presentation, and cleanliness.
- **Financial management:** Assist in monitoring budgets, managing costs, and optimizing sales to improve profitability.
- **Marketing and community engagement:** Work on local marketing initiatives to drive business, including social media engagement, loyalty programs, and in-store promotions.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a barista with a strong background in coffee preparation and shop operations.
- Previous leadership or management experience in a café or hospitality setting.
- Creative mindset with the ability to innovate and bring new ideas to improve the business.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Knowledge of inventory management, budgeting, and financial performance.
- Ability to maintain calm and professionalism under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for coffee and providing exceptional customer service.
