Job Summary
The General Dentist will provide comprehensive dental care to patients, including preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic services. The role involves conducting routine dental examinations, diagnosing and treating oral health issues, performing dental procedures, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat dental conditions: Conduct thorough examinations of patients' teeth, gums, and oral cavity to identify dental issues such as cavities, gum disease, and other oral health problems.
- Perform dental procedures: Execute a range of dental procedures, including fillings, crowns, extractions, root canals, and dental cleanings.
- Preventive care: Provide preventative care and dental education to patients on oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and diet.
- Develop treatment plans: Assess patient needs and develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual requirements.
- Patient consultations: Communicate with patients about treatment options, explain procedures, and address any concerns they may have.
- Manage patient records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Work as part of a dental team: Collaborate with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and office staff to ensure smooth operation and patient care.
- Sterilization and infection control: Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment for both patients and staff.
- Emergency care: Provide emergency dental services as needed, including trauma care, pain management, and urgent procedures.
