Job Description
What you will be doing:
- Confirm all event-related details with clients to ensure accuracy and alignment with expectations.
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships before, during, and after events to encourage repeat business.
- Coordinate all elements of convention bookings, including meeting space, guest room blocks, food and beverage arrangements, and audiovisual requirements.
- Initiate and manage billing procedures, ensuring deposits and credit applications are received with complete information and within required timeframes.
- Conduct pre-conference meetings with clients and relevant departments to ensure all event details are clearly communicated and executed.
- Maintain and update the conference database, ensuring accurate records of key contacts and client information.
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or events industry is required
- Strong knowledge of Opera Sales & Catering and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to resolve problems effectively
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
