Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present high-quality sandwiches, salads, and bowls according to established recipes and standards.
- Lead and support the sandwich station team during service, ensuring smooth operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen work area at all times.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff and sandwich makers.
- Ensure proper portion control and food presentation.
- Monitor food stock and minimize wastage.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef on menu planning, daily prep, and execution.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a DCDP or CDP in a similar casual or fast-casual kitchen environment.
- Strong understanding of cold kitchen operations, especially sandwich, salad, and bowl preparation.
- Ability to lead a small team effectively and maintain composure under pressure.
- Passion for fresh, high-quality ingredients and simple but flavorful food.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of HACCP and kitchen safety practices.
Preferred:
- Culinary diploma or relevant certification.
- Experience working with contemporary or health-focused menus is a plus.
