Responsibilities:
- Safety: Monitoring the pool area to ensure guests' safety, enforcing pool rules, and responding to emergencies.
- Supervise gym activities and ensure members are using equipment safely.
- Enforce gym policies and rules, such as dress code and conduct.
- Report any incidents or damages to the appropriate authorities.
- Assist with first aid and CPR if trained.
- Cleanliness: Maintaining a clean and sanitary pool area, including the pool deck, chairs, and surrounding areas.
- Guest Service: Providing assistance to guests, answering questions, and ensuring a pleasant experience.
- Greet and assist gym members, answering questions about equipment, classes, and gym policies.
- Provide a positive and helpful experience for all patrons.
- Assist with check-ins and registrations.
- Maintenance: Checking pool equipment, reporting any issues, and potentially assisting with water chemistry.
- Ensure the gym is clean and organized, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment.
- Organize and maintain equipment, such as dumbbells, weight plates, and bars.
- Monitor and document the use of equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the gym floor, locker areas, and shower rooms.
- Other Duties: May include tasks like setting up pool furniture, removing trash, and stocking towels.
- May assist with opening or closing procedures.
- May be responsible for stocking and replenishing supplies.
- May assist with special events and promotional opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Strong swimming ability and a high level of comfort in the water.
- CPR and basic first aid certification are often required.
- Lifeguard certification may be preferred or required depending on the facility.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
