Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- ICT Systems Design for Projects: Lead the design and specification of ICT systems, including networks, data centers, security systems, and communications infrastructure for PMC projects.
- Collaboration with Project Teams: Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other consultants to integrate ICT solutions within the broader project scope, ensuring seamless functionality and compliance with the client’s needs.
- Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients on ICT-related matters, ensuring designs meet client expectations and industry standards. Provide technical expertise to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- ICT System Integration: Ensure effective integration of ICT systems into large-scale projects, from initial design to final implementation, addressing any technical challenges that arise.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Monitor the quality of ICT designs and installations, ensuring compliance with project requirements, specifications, and local regulations.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed technical documentation, design reports, and status updates for clients and internal teams. Ensure that designs are well-documented and easily communicated to non-technical stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to the design and implementation of ICT systems, developing mitigation strategies to ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all ICT systems are designed in compliance with relevant local and international standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Vendor Management: Oversee the selection and management of ICT vendors and contractors, ensuring that they deliver on-time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Post-Implementation Support: Provide support and guidance to project teams during the operational phase, ensuring that ICT systems are maintained and functioning effectively.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends in ICT, including emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve project outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering ,Telecommunications or a related field.
- Proven 10 years experience in ICT system design, implementation, and management within a Project Management Consultancy environment.
- Strong background in designing and managing ICT infrastructure for large-scale, multidisciplinary projects.
- Experience working on diverse projects such as urban developments, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of network design, telecom systems, data management, security systems, and integrated communications solutions.
- Strong understanding of ICT best practices, including risk management, project coordination, and compliance with relevant industry standards.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage vendor relationships and oversee the delivery of ICT systems by third-party contractors.
