Job responsibilities:
- Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using software like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Create detailed schedules for engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPC or EPCC phases).
- Define critical paths and track progress against project milestones.
- Track actual progress versus planned progress and identify delays.
- Generate weekly/monthly progress reports and S-curves.
- Provide schedule variance analysis and forecasts.
- Coordinate with discipline leads to ensure resources (manpower, materials, equipment) are available when needed.
- Integrate manpower histograms and resource-loading into the schedule.
- Coordinate schedule interfaces between different contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and client teams.
- Facilitate regular schedule review meetings with stakeholders.
- Conduct schedule risk analysis to identify potential issues and develop mitigation plans.
- Evaluate impact of change orders and delays on the overall schedule.
- Update the baseline schedule to reflect changes and reforecast timelines as necessary.
- Evaluate time impact of change orders and claims.
- Maintain scheduling documentation including schedule narratives, basis of schedule documents, and delay analysis reports.
- Ensure all scheduling records are up to date and auditable.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Engineering disciplines or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- 5-7 years of Qatar experience required. 3-4 years experience with Oil and Gas industry will have an added advantage.
