The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high-quality food and beverage standards. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while managing staff effectively.
Key Responsibilities:Operational Management:
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow.
- Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Implement and enforce all SOPs to maintain service and hygiene standards.
- Coordinate with chefs and baristas to ensure timely food and drink preparation.
Staff Supervision & Organization:
- Lead, train, and motivate the team to provide excellent customer service.
- Assign tasks and shifts to ensure efficient workflow.
- Monitor staff performance, discipline, and adherence to policies.
- Conduct briefings before shifts to align staff on expectations and any updates.
Customer Service Excellence:
- Address and resolve customer complaints in a professional manner.
- Ensure guests receive attentive, high-quality service.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements as needed.
Financial & Inventory Management:
- Assist in managing cash handling, billing, and daily sales reports.
- Monitor stock levels for food, beverages, and supplies.
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment of stock.
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Enforce hygiene and sanitation standards according to local regulations.
- Ensure staff follows safety guidelines and food handling procedures.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment, cleanliness, and restaurant setup.
Required Background & Skills:Experience & Education:
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a fine dining, casual dining, or hotel restaurant.
- Hospitality, Culinary, or Business Management degree is preferred.
- Experience in both hotel and standalone restaurant settings is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow and enforce SOPs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of restaurant POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Shifts may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A mix of indoor and outdoor supervision, depending on restaurant setup.
- Hands-on role requiring both administrative and floor management duties.
