Job Description
The Preventive Medicine Specialist will support project leadership and the guest community by conducting dining facility inspections, testing water and ice quality, and collaborating with the Environmental Health and Safety Technician to investigate communicable diseases. This position requires the preparation of detailed reports for clients, offering recommendations for the resolution of identified issues, and the capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly food service inspections in accordance with food safety industry standards or as determined by the Department of State.
- Assist with inspections encompass a comprehensive review of facility compliance with regulatory requirements no less stringent than the U.S. Food and Drug Agency (USFDA) Food Code.
- Review inspection findings to ensure all dining facilities meet prescribed standards, verify completion of appropriate food handler training, and assess compliance with food service workers medical requirements.
- Promptly communicate inspection results, compliance reports, and any recommendations for improvement or remediation within three (3) business days.
- Help Investigate any food-borne illness outbreaks and collaborate closely with IOM, to complete a thorough investigation.
- Perform Dining Facility inspections.
- Perform testing of water and ice.
- Prepare required reports.
- Work with the guest community to develop healthy life habits.
- Assist the community outreach program with development of educational lessons and delivery of these lessons to the guest community.
- Assist community outreach program as training, skillset and time allows.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity in all communications with coworkers and clients, fostering an inclusive and respectful work environment that values diversity.
- Participate in mass-casualty drills twice a year and remain available for on-call coverage.
- Complete required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Qualifications
Experience Required:
- Two (2+) years of experience in preventive medicine.
- Experience with Microsoft Office365 (M365) applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Education Required:
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Training and certification from military, public health agency or other certifying body.
Physical Requirements:
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.
Other Special Requirements:
- Common Access Card (CAC) or ability to obtain one.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate.
- This position is unaccompanied.
- Ability to obtain a base security clearance is required.
- Must be able to relocate to Doha, Qatar.
- A valid passport from Country of Record is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
