Primary Purpose of the Job Repots to Planning Engineer the Senior Materials Technician assists and coordinates the activities as part of material coordination unit of the Industrial Cities Directorate - Dukhan (DCA). Primary purpose is to ensure the timely availability of materials to the end user functions through a variety of coordination efforts, extend assistance for continuous review of stock levels and lowest investment cost consistent with DCA's operational objectives. Follow-up regarding SAP Material Master coding and other related matters with Supply Chain Department for project spares and stock proposal Forms. Principal Accountabilities Coding or Materials: Upon request of the materials from the end user, Sr. Material Technician should browse all the required QP Assets OEM Maintenance Manual, Spare Parts Catalog, Drawings, QP and other related Standards, build up the specifications in coordination with Maintenance Engineers. Create e-SPF for coding, coordinate with Supply Chain Department MMDG Division and provide material codetotheusertogenerate PR/Reservation/COORequests as applicable Reservations and Purchase Requisitions: Ensure that materials are delivered on time in order to meet operational requirements through close follow-up with Supply Chain Department for the pending reservations and purchase requisitions of the end users. Follow-up purchase orders to ensure timely availability of materials. Extend guidance to end users for creation of PRs and Reservations as needed. Maintain and update data for Reservations and Purcha se Requisitions. Materials Call-off Orders Requests: Extend assistance to endusers for creation of call-off order requests, follow- up through the supply and closeout on completion of supplies. Procurement through Department-outsourced Contracts: Upon request of identified and unidentified materials by the end user from within Department-outsourced Contacts, exercise all efforts in identifying the right material through OEM Manuals, Spare Parts Catalogs, Drawings, QP and other related Standards in coordination with the users and follow-up with the designated Contract Administrator for delivery of material within the contractual obligations. Store Coordination: Coordinate materials withdrawals from DKN stores. Arrange transportation and collection of Materials from QP warehouse. Ensure accuracy of documentation involving transactions of material. Keep a follow up with stores on Complaint Notification Report (CNRs) of rejected items by end users for early resolution. Keep a follow up for repair-and-return purchase requisitions will stores, end users and buyers. Use of SAP MM and PM Modules: Use SAP MM and PM Module extensively for day-to-day operations. Prepare reports from SAP outputs. Assist Planning Engineer for review and analysis. Prepare status reports of Reservations, Purchase Requisitions, COO, e-SPFs, SPIRs, other as-on- when required. Facilitate information sharing with discipline Engineers and end users for smooth operations. Stock Monitoring: Monitor on a periodic basis, stock levels against the safety stocks and assist in identification of fast and slow moving items for purposes of optimizing inventories. Keep Planning Engineer informed on the stock levels and follow- up for replenishment action. Assist Planning Engineer for review/ follow up with endusers for review of stocks. Material Coding for New Projects: Assist and periodically follow-up for obtaining project SPIRs, e-SPFs and BOMs information of all new facilities from Engineering / Project functions as well as follow up with Supply Chain Department for coding. Write-off I Disposal: Assist end users in processing the disposal of assets write off I disposal In MIC for obsolete equipment. Additional Responsibilities: Assume the responsibilities of other personnel in the section during leave, business trips, sickness etc. as directed by Superiors. Always conduct activities in line with QP/DCA HSE regulations and standards. Qualifications/ Knowledge/ Skills / Experience * Three year Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent in any other engineering discipline from an internationally recognized university. * Training and minimum two years' experience in SAP MM and PM Module. * Three to eight years' experience in the materials department. I function preferably in a large corporation with experience in inventory coding system, procurement, contracts, expediting, warehousing and logistics. Experience In oil and gas industry is preferred. * Good adaptability' to a multinational environment, with exposure to Technical terms and Material class classifications. * Ability to function independently and solve routine issues. Should be a team player. * Good computer literacy / knowledge of MS Office applications. At least one year hands on experience in computerized material management systems viz. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) packages. * Good written and spoken English. Good interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Arabic will be an added advantage. * Safety and environmental awareness
