Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated General Dentist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive dental care, which includes conducting examinations, diagnosing conditions, creating treatment plans, performing operative dentistry, oral surgery, and providing pediatric dental services. Additional responsibilities will encompass the prescription of medications as needed. A primary duty of this role will be to offer dental coverage for emergencies, ensuring prompt and effective treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide urgent and emergency dental care within the scope of practice of general dentistry, encompassing limited operative dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery, pediatric dentistry, and dental imaging in accordance with American Dental Association guidelines, practices, and standards.
- Urgent and emergency dental conditions include, but are not limited to, uncontrolled bleeding; cellulitis or soft tissue infection with swelling that potentially compromises a patient’s airway; trauma to facial bones that may obstruct an airway; tooth or jaw pain; abscess or infection with or without local swelling and pain; avulsed tooth; and lost, broken, or defective temporary restorations.
- Preventative services (e, g. cleaning) are not included in this contract. While extractions of non-painful teeth or restorations of non-painful cavities are not considered urgent or emergency conditions, the dental provider may determine that the long-term benefit to health or quality of life warrants treatment.
- Ensure that dental records and copies of x-rays are made available to the patient when departure is anticipated, in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with other medical providers to coordinate dental care plans and ensure the delivery of comprehensive, patient-centered care.
- Meticulously document care in electronic health record.
- Manage Dental Department.
- Provide oversight of the Dental Hygiene Program and mentorship on standards of care.
- Provision of clinical reporting to the CMO.
- Support clinical mentoring for staff development
- Ensure best practice in line with clinical guidelines and SOPs.
- Support the clinical excellence framework.
- Provide liaison with external agencies where required to promote chain of care continuity and professional referral/patient handover.
- Liaise with other medical staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Refer patients to specialists when required.
- Participate in mass-casualty drills twice a year and remain available for on-call coverage.
- Complete required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Qualifications
Experience Required:
- Minimum of three (3) years of general dentistry experience based on level of training and education.
- Experience on a military/government site, working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.
Education Required:
- Current and unrestricted medical license to practice dentistry in the country recruited. As example, physicians licensed or credentialed by a national council (e.g. the UK) or by a state or provincial council (the U.S. or Canada or other country with strict licensing) are assumed to have acceptable credentials.
- Graduated from an approved dental school that is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools and is noted to be acceptable for applying to the ECFMG for the year of graduation listed.
- Obtain provided American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Physical Requirements:
- Work is normally performed in a deployment work environment.
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 1bs.
Other Special Qualifications:
- On call requirements as part of a rotation if required.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate.
- This position is unaccompanied.
- Ability to obtain a base security clearance.
- Must be able to relocate to Doha, Qatar.
- A valid passport is required for country of record and must be in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
