Job Brief:
We are seeking an experienced Estimation Engineer to join our facility management company, specializing in both soft and hard services. The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for projects, tenders, and maintenance services in line with client specifications and company standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of facility management services, including both soft services (cleaning, landscaping, etc.) and hard services (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
Job Responsibilities:
- Estimate Preparation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for facility management projects, including both soft and hard services.
- Tender Management: Analyze tender documents, including drawings and specifications, to prepare competitive bids and proposals.
- Cost Breakdown: Provide a detailed breakdown of costs for labor, materials, and equipment required for service delivery.
- Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Obtain and analyze quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring the best price and quality.
- Risk Analysis: Identify and assess risks involved in the estimation process and suggest cost-effective solutions.
- Client Liaison: Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to ensure client requirements are accurately reflected in proposals.
- Cost Control: Work closely with the project management team to monitor and control project costs, ensuring that projects remain within budget.
- Technical Understanding: Maintain a strong understanding of facility management technologies, equipment, and services (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security, cleaning, pest control, etc.).
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry standards, innovations, and regulations to enhance the accuracy and competitiveness of estimates.
Job Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Estimation Engineer, preferably within the facility management sector.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of both hard services (HVAC, MEP, building systems) and soft services (cleaning, landscaping, pest control, etc.).
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and mathematical skills to interpret data and prepare accurate estimates.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to prepare clear and concise proposals and liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in estimation software, AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant tools.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and quality in estimates.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to identify cost-saving measures and minimize risks.
- Certification: Any relevant certifications in facility management or project estimation will be an advantage.
