Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of Big Data solutions, including use case analysis, technical definition, and implementation of tailored solutions to meet business requirements.
- Telecom systems and finalize integration setup with source teams to fulfils business operation requirements.
- Develop real-time data processing frameworks and manage the full data movement lifecycle - encompassing ingestion, transformation, loading, and visualization.
- Evaluate existing system capabilities and recommend architecture modernization strategies, leveraging evolving technologies like message brokers, NoSQL databases, caching mechanisms, and data consumption tools. Ensure to prepare business cases and implement changes in collaboration with development, operations teams, and vendors.
- Come up with final solution use case based and finalise components required to build solution at every level i.e., ingestion, data repository, integration, and visualization tool.
- Optimize system performance through tuning, operational enhancements, and capacity management while establishing estimates, delivery plans, and execution models for analytics solutions.
- Drive operations team in making their issue identification and robust resolution.
- Perform any additional project, task or activities assigned/delegated by the Line Manager.
Education and Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or relevant discipline from a reputable university.
- Certification in Data engineering is preferred
Knowledge & Experience:
- 7+ years of relevant experience in overall Data Solutions including 5+ years of experience in big data and analytics solutions with end-to-end delivery lifecycle and 3+ years of experience on Cloudera environment and Google BigQuery preferably in Telecommunication sector.
- Experience and knowledge of working with key Cloudera suite components Hadoop, Sqoop, Pig, Hive, Impala, HBase, R, Python, Spark as well as cloud based Big Data solutions on Google BigQuery.
- Experience on Tableau with knowledge and understanding of business analytics and E2E data solutions preferably in Telecom industry.
- Knowledge and in depth understanding of best practices in data engineering and analytical modelling design and development on Bigdata platforms.
- Excellent use of the English (must) and Arabic language (preferable) and an extensive teamworking skill in a multi-cultural work environment.
