Key Result Areas:
- Develop, implement, control, integrate and evaluate the work of the Custodial Services department to meet the goals and objectives of the directorate and the organization.
- Develop and provide a vision with clear direction to the staff to meet departmental needs for growth, change, new development, and commitment to customer service.
- Mentor the Custodial Services staff to ensure that departmental policies and procedures are administered uniformly and clearly and that work activity conforms to the overall mission of Qatar Foundation.
- Develop and recommend policies, procedures and/or actions (e.g. type/quantity of food and supplies, equipment, safety standards, sanitation procedures, cleaning schedules, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures for procurement delegated functions.
- Ensure health and sanitation standards are met and continually improved, based on local (MME, MOPH) and international standards.
- Monitor preparation of periodic performance reports, summarizing progress on short- & long-range plans.
- Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of operational management and development.
- Evaluate, assess the contracts and agreements with suppliers, distributors, vendors and other organizational entities.
- Evaluate detailed recommendations of suitable custodial services suppliers and assists in the negotiations with contractors.
- Other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or any other relevant field. A Master’s degree in business management will be an advantage.
- 2 - 5 years of relevant full-time work experience.
- Possess personnel, negotiating, and management skills.
- Good working knowledge of the methods of waste management operations and knowledge of safe working practices are essential.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and objectives on multiple projects.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
